Loreto

Distinguished for its strong spirituality, the Marche region boasts many monasteries, abbeys and shrines found throughout the whole territory. Loreto, well-known for its Basilica of the Santa Casa, is one of the most important spiritual centres of Italy.

According to tradition, the Basilica hosts the Holy House of Nazareth, where the Virgin Mary received the Annunciation of the birth of Jesus. Tradition wants that angels brought the Holy House from Jerusalem to Loreto in order to protect it from the Muslim invasion.

Attracting pilgrims from all over the world, the Basilica and the whole city are also very important from the artistic point of view: in Loreto you will be able to enjoy the masterpieces of renowed artists such as Bramante and Lotto.

Due Sorelle beach
